The Inspiration Behind Dorkle

Years ago, she dreamed of creating a character that embodies resilience and self-acceptance—a girl who navigates her insecurities to become her own hero. This vision blossomed into Dorkle, a lovable character whose journey resonates with young readers, encouraging them in a fun way to embrace their quirks to help them through life.

The seeds of Dorkle's character were sown in a sketch back in 2008. Sherri's creative journey took a magical turn when she collaborated with the incredibly talented illustrator Maru Salem-Vargas, who brought Dorkle's vision to life through enchanting illustrations.
